iPhone ranked fifth in the U.S. market, Android OS first

Beijing time on May 9, according to foreign reported, the research firm comScore’s latest report showed, Android share continues to grow in the U.S. mobile phone users market. In the first quarter of 2011, Google’s U.S. market share from 28.7% in December last year rose to 34.7%.

At the same time, Apple iOS platform is also expanding the market, its market share from 25% by the end of 2010 rose to 25.5% by the end of March of 2011. The growth of Android and iOS market share declined the share of other systems platforms. BlackBerry down from the 31.6% to 27.1%. Windows Phone Platform from 8.4% to 7.5%, webOS platform from 3.7% to 2.8%.

By the March 2011, there were 72.5 million smartphone users in the U.S., increased 15% than three months ago.

The manufacturer, the Samsung’s market share continued to hold the first place, but the market share has declined from the 24.8% to 24.5%. LG maintained the second place, 20.9% share, Motorola and RIM respectively 15.8% and 8.4% in third and fourth. Apple was ranked fifth, the share was 7.9%.
